DISTILLERIES OF SCOTLAND

Dalwhinnie Distillery

Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Region

Highlands

Owner

Diageo

Founded

1897 | John Grant, George Sellar and Alexander Mackenzie

Dalwhinnie claims to be the highest distillery above sea level in Scotland. It sits perfectly in the Highlands, just off the A9, the main road up north. Due to its location it is the coldest settlement of a Scottish distillery at an average of 6 degrees and can often be cut off in winter times. It is part of Diageo’s classic 6 malts and is often an easy drinking, fruity spirit.
